1:1 Tech Initiative
Integrated into every aspect of our lives, technology use is no longer optional. Although every child may not grow up to design software and technology, every child will assuredly need the skills to use it.
Students in the primary grades enjoy learning and educational activities on class computers and individually issued iPads. They gain familiarity with the process and logic of navigating software, while learning their ABCs and 123s in a variety of new and interactive ways.
Secondary students engage in quite a bit of learning online including textbook access, assignment submissions, and discussion notes. We issue laptop computers to every student in grades seven through 12, which we require they use at school and take home every day. With every class they take, they are gaining important tech skills, which they can apply in nearly every aspect of life.

We recognize that needs and interests vary greatly from student to student. Our comprehensive high schools include diverse programming, including nine identified career pathways.
Clubs are a wonderful way for students to connect with others who share their interests. From art to fishing to a variety of national organizations, you’re sure to find your niche.

We are in it to win it! Our athletics program benefits from the expertise and experience of an accomplished coaching staff. Student athletes are committed to working hard and playing the game hard. Our sports teams are a source of great pride and a binding element of our community.

Students in this program are training for far more than farming—they are learning and exercising leadership skills and serving their community. Our top-notch and highly active FFA program is a point of pride for DCCS, and they have the state and national championship trophies to prove it!

Many students desire to jump right into their career following high school. We offer access to vocational courses through C4 Columbus Career Connection.
For the Competitive Academic
Our schools participate in the Junior High and High School Spell Bowl and Academic Superbowl. These competitions encompass all of the core academic areas and the arts.
